Hi

Meine 411 haben einen Kompressor + Hydraulische Pumpe 2 in 1
my 411 have an Air Compressor + Hydraulic pump 2 in 1

Ist diese Pumpe für Servolenkung verwendet werden?
Is this pump can be used for power steering ?

===========================================
Plan B

Wenn nicht im Gleiten, sie zu ersetzen und ihn irgendwo auf dem Chassis so dass Strom aus PTO nehmen können
ist jemand bereit, alle tun es, so kann ich einige Ideen?

If not im planing to replace it and put it somewhere on the chassis so it can take power from PTO
is any one have all ready do it , so i can take some ideas ?

Hi John,

yes, this hydraulic pump can be used for the ZF hydraulic steering support. This was the standard for all Unimog 411 without working hydraulic. If you supply oil pressure also to the working hydraulic, then it is not allowed to use the same pump for steering. This is German law. Steering always sees first priority.

If you have a working hydraulic and a steeting hydraulic you have in standard two pumps. The steering hydraulic pump is located below the generator.

Please check your local governmental regulations with regard to steering support systems.

If this is not applicable to you, you can do your power supply as shown by PTO. Thake care of the revolution limit for the pump!

Regards,

Markus

Thank you very much Markus :)
I have nothing working with hydraulic , so no problem

I took some new pictures with informations about the pump
before seeing your answer...

I want to ask 2 favors for everyone reading this theme
1. please tell me what else i need , i dont know keyworks to search :/ (ZF...)
2. can you tell me what wrote the last picture please , translator is not good

Hello John
when you install a Power Steering Zylinder you must reduce the Pressure
of max. 70 Bar. When you have a single Clutch have you no functioning from the Powersteering when you kick them.

Regards
Michel

Hi John,

Michel is right, the PTO will only work if the clutch is closed, so if you shift the gear by operating the clutch, the PTO will stop and the pump will stop as well.

If you send me an email to markus.hame (at) arcor.de [replace (at) by @] you can get some details about ZF Roß steering system.

Why do you don't place the pump at its designed position, powered by the motor?

Please consider the max. of 2600 rpms for the pump.

Kind regards,

Markus

Hi all together,

for me it is not clear if John has a power steering or not.

John, this is the case if there is a hydraulic cylinder mechanical connected to the steering in front of the axle
nearly parallel to the axle itself. Sorry i dont have pictures.

im afraid i confused you  sorry
i made 2 questions in 1 :?

Im not gona use pump on PTO & power steering
I have no power steering , and nothing is working with hydraulic , i only have a pump ( its air kompresor too)
Why do you don't place the pump at its designed position, powered by the motor ?
The pump is all ready there ( down of the oil box , rigth side ) look
http://i605.photobucket.com/albums/tt136/uni-pro/DSC01977.jpg

So
A ) IF pump can support power steering
im not going to replace it & install power steering

B ) ) IF pump is NOT good for power steering ( small or powerlees )
im going to replace it on the pto ...

Forget about B

lets see if pump is ok & what i need for power steering

like this ?

Hi John,

yes, in my undertsanding you can use the pump for power steering. You omly have to limit the pressure to the limit of the control valve of the power steering cylinder. The provided oil volume must match the requirements of the cylinder.

The original ZF Roß system was working with max 70bar. The cylinder was replacing the steering link and had an integrated control valve.

It seems that your cylinder does have a different design.

Markus

This cylinder is not mine , i just wanted to show at kinzigsegler
i found it at google and it looks to be custom and not original
if you have any picture of the original please show me , or give me keywords to search for

danke

Hi
Markus i got your pictures
2urp9q9.png

Thanks a lot

So i need a cylinder , ( whats the name of this ? ZF cylinder for 411 ?)
some tubes ( thats easy)
and something like <controler> ( i dont see something like that in your photos )
Rigth ?

Hi John,
the controller is integrated part of the cylinder. You need the pump or a similar pump. If you have the chance of laser cutting, I can provide you a copy of a DXF file for laser cutting the holter for the pump (cut needs some bending afterwards). The holder is shown on the last picture at the pump.

Markus

Hi John,

the so called "ZF Ross Lenkhilfe" shown on Markus pictures is in principle the same as the "Calzoni Ram Steering"

The integrated "joystick like" valve of the cylinder is mechanical connected to your steering wheel.

The principle you can see on this page:
http://www.rcd.it/ingegneria-oleodinamica-servosterzi_en.html

The original "ZF Ross Lenkhilfe" is relative seldom and desired

Thank you guys :)

i will post installation photos when i start , and if i have any questions im gona post it here too
