New To Unimog - Rear Power Lift Question

Hi there,

I am new to Unimog and have found one I want to purchase near Saarlouis

While in Germany (live in Finland) I want to have a rear power lift fitted as I want to collect an attachment on my drive back home to the north

Can anyone give me any details of companies that could install the power lift like the one below?

From Saarlouis i will be traveling along awestern Germany on my way to Denmark

I don't think there is much of a dealer network trading and installing these as they are more or less only sold by the one company that produces them. They are of a different designa nd approach than the original Mercedes ones (not saying if for better or for worse - that depends on your application).
You could try contacting him as his adress is close to the A1 a bit befor Bremen. Your other option could be finding a farm equipment or truck repairshop familiar with Unimogs and maybe get them to order it and install it.

Generally I think one of the main arguments is supposed to be the easy installation. So maybe just picking it up at Finner engineering and installing it later is an option too.

Hi,
it depends on the type of Unimog you plan to buy and the kind of attachments you want to use.
The Finner type is fine but not ideal for pulling, as there is no linkage to the rear axle, which the original version has.
If you find an original agricultural Unimog with the 3 point linkage fitted in plant, I am sure, this is the best solution.

If you tell us, which type of Unimog is your choice, you will get more detailed info here.
Be aware, that not all Unimogs come with an hydraulic system fitted.
